Straight Allies for Marriage Equality

How to change your position on marriage is courtesy of Marriage Equality USA. This document may be sent to legislators, or anyone struggling with a change in thinking/voting etc.

The Allies guide was compiled by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) for straight people to use any time it applies.

Coming out as a straight supporter is self-explanatory. This, too, is courtesy of HRC.

"1138" itemizes the benefits, rights and legal protections marriage confers in this society. Note that the list was compiled by then Senator Bill Frist, a doctor, and prominent Tennessee Republican.

The .doc version of the sample media release may be downloaded and adjusted as necessary to fit your locale & your media outlets.

"How to talk CME" (Civil Marriage Equality) is a set of scripts to be used when engaging potential opponents.

S.A.M.E. Day Banner is the brand for the event.

S.A.M.E Day biz cards may be downloaded, then cut to business card size and passed out any way you choose.

The S.A.M.E. Day corporate letter may be issued to an HR person at work or equality staff if your company has one. (BTW--S.A.M.E. Day is actively seeking corporate sponsors.)

Our thanks to the Human Rights Campaign & Marriage Equality USA for their support.
